Clinic Introduction
Hello, I am Dr. Kim Jong-min, the hospital director of Minbyeongwon Hospital, located in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. In the past, when a family member fell ill, everyone would worry and care for them together. However, with the phenomenon of nuclear families that began in the latter half of the 20th century, people have been left to suffer and worry alone when they fall ill. As a result, nowadays, people consider the person who is by their side when they are ill to be the most precious person to them. Based on the philosophy of unchanged kindness, which is our motto despite the change, our hospital was established in April 2008. Since then, every member of our medical staff and employees have made a concerted effort to become a precious person to our patients. We have continued to make this effort for the past 17 years. However, at some point, we began to think that not only is it important to care for patients in the examination room, but also to care for them in their daily lives. Therefore, our hospital has been striving to provide more convenience to our patients and to provide more medical information. The world is changing rapidly, and sometimes we wonder if we are keeping pace with these changes. Since patients may not be able to keep up with these changes, we sometimes question whether our approach is correct. Whenever we are unsure, we recall our motto, which we established when we first opened our hospital: the philosophy of unchanged kindness. We make a new promise to our patients. We will always approach our medical work with a caring attitude, even as we adapt to new changes, and we will always strive to provide better medical services. We will always make an effort to be a precious person to each and every one of our patients, always by their side, providing accurate diagnoses and the best possible treatment. By the way, our hospital is the first thyroid-specialized medical institution in Korea, and we have been performing thyroid endoscopy surgery and Da Vinci SP robot surgery, which are optimized for diabetes-obesity metabolic surgery. In addition, our hospital is composed of a gallbladder, liver, spleen, internal medicine, and health checkup center. We can perform emergency surgery 24 hours a day, 365 days a week, including Sundays and holidays. Moreover, we are the first hospital in the northern part of Seoul to have a Da Vinci SP robot.
